Kathy Rose has always loved music. She started
singing in church when she was very young and
also in the school chorus. While growing up, she
took piano lessons for several years. She met her
husband at church when they were children.
They also went to school together and married
after high school. She and her husband, Ted, also
known as "Karaoke Man" raised 5 wonderful
children.

Somewhere along the way, Kathy began writing
songs for fun. She had not published any of her
music until 2006 when she made a trip to
Louisiana to visit her husband Ted while he was
on an extended assignment in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana.  He was hauling food and water for
FEMA  in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.
During her visit, she met musical genius and
engineer Nelson Blanchard . Nelson was a strong
force in her first recording at his studio.

In the beginning of 2006, Kathy made a
life-changing decision.  She decided to make a
major career change.  She gave her resignation
from her  8 year career and enrolled in truck
driving school .  She obtained her CDL license .

In March of 2006, Kathy Rose joined her
husband on the road as a team truck driver.
While driving and learning the ropes as an over
the road driver, she has written over 30 songs
"Rollin' Down the Interstate."  Kathy continues
to write and sing.  Be on the lookout!  You never
know when or where the singing red-haired
song-writing trucker named Kathy Rose might
pull up along side you!
Flor  and Kathy Rose
Flor was my inspiration for this song.
She shared her story with me about her
life before and after true love.

"All She Wanted Was Love"
Kathy Rose takes a break while Nelson is still tweaking
the music after 12 hours in the studio.  Even singing can
wear a person out!

Kathy Rose with a fellow truck driver.  It
was so inspiring to meet this 82 year old
man who is still out there rollin' down the
highway.
